Yesterday for entertainment I read the local newspaper that arrived on my doorstep. I really did have more important things to do, but this paper contains my favorite sourse of entertainment - the 'singles' ads.
Now, I realize that were I single, no one would choose me based on my description. It is certainly NOT the description of the woman the husband God gave me married.
Today, mine would read:
White woman, 46 years old. Weight/height disproportionate. Wears glasses low on nose to read. Likes to read in bed late into the night with light on. Constantly talks about every ache and pain. Diabetic. In search of man, 46, weight/height disproportionate. Must enjoy thrift and antique shopping. Laughter required. Must be THGGM.
One of the ads I read yesterday, written by a 45 year old woman, requested a man with 'no baggage'. Do they make those? I haven't ever heard of one, and if I had, I wouldn't believe it. How sad to make it to 45 and still be dreaming like a 14 year old.
