Warmer Weather

An unusual occurrence for West Michigan, two 80 degree days this week! A storm blew through this morning and brought some cooler temps, but those days reminded me to give some thought to warmer weather.

My Top Ten Things to Love about Warmer Weather!

10. THGGM's flea market finds

9. Going 'out' for ice cream

8. Viewing a sunset off the pier at Grand Haven

7. Campfire smell

6. Homemade potato salad

5. Son-in-law's grilling skills

4. Drinking coffee on the front porch

3. Hanging laundry on the line outside

2. The sweet smell of sweaty kid hair

1. Sleeping with a fan in the window

My Shorter List of Things to NOT Like about Warmer Weather

5. EXTREMELY loud neighborhood kids

4. Earwigs on the laundry I bring in from the line

3. Mosquitos

2. High humidity

1. Sweating

Okay, those are mine. Now tell me yours! (thanks to www.blueyedtracy.blogspot.com, for her inspiration!)

I love lemonade, telling the boys to "go outside", hiking and barbequeing.

My #1 dislike is the same as yours-sweating!!!

Have a wonderful warm and sunny day!

I have to agree with you on the homemade potato salad - so good. Corn on the cob too, but that is usually later in the season. (Fresh fruits & veggies in general too.)

Dislikes
1. smog
2. Earwigs too (but we seem to have these year-round)
3. Bobcat sightings (this week actually) and other wildlife (read-snakes).
4. Continuing to have "summer" in October

Thanks for the link!

Funny you should mention potato salad...must be one of the nicest things ever invented! In fact, tonight we had a tad....made a big dish full for our Friday night gathering here...called German Potato Salad but from a Jewish cookbook...has little mayo in it, but it tastes heavenly!

It would be easier to say what I do NOT like about summer than what I do like...especially nasty is the high heat and humidity of which we have plenty here! But it does help one have nice smooth skin...the humidity does that is!And I do love looking at the flowers and beauty of the season and the long evenings...in fact I miss the REALLY long evenings we had when we lived in Washington state...and sitting on the deck watching the bats come out to catch bugs and watching the sun go down around 10 PM there! And then enjoying the wonderful starry sky...and we had no misquitos to mar our enjoyment THERE....here if you do not have a screened in room (called a Carolina room here) you can forget being outside after dusk; I call this "buggy ville"!!

Have a great weekend...sure looking forward to ours and celebrating!
