I didn't go to college.

I stood on a bench in a closet. Check the archives for the results of that stupid thing.

More than twenty-five years ago I walked out onto the ice on Lake Michigan with The Husband God Gave Me and two other friends. We climbed higher and higher, until we reached a peak. Looking down, we realized we were on the very thin tip of a frozen wave, and the churning waters of Lake Michigan were far below waiting to engulf us. I still wake up from dreams about that night.

2. AT THE CURRENT MOMENT, WHO HAS THE MOST INFLUENCE IN YOUR LIFE?

At this current moment, the Siamese twins Heat/Humidity are influencing me, and it isn't pretty.

3. IF YOU WERE GIVEN A TIME MACHINE THAT FUNCTIONED, AND YOU WERE ALLOWED TO ONLY PICK UP TO FIVE PEOPLE TO DINE WITH, WHO WOULD YOU PICK?

Eve. It would be fun to hear all about her family.

4. IF YOU HAD THREE WISHES THAT WERE NOT SUPERNATURAL, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?

I would wish for a three week vacation in the fall, traveling around Lake Michigan, stopping at all the places we quickly pass through on our way to somewhere else.

I'd wish for central air conditioning, so I could stand to be in my art loft. Fans blow all my stuff around, and it is most annoying. (but, i don't want it heated in the winter, as i like to be cold.)

I'd wish for a cottage on Lake Michigan, with a view of the lake from the front, and a view of woods from the back.

5. SOMEONE IS VISITING YOUR HOMETOWN/PLACE WHERE YOU LIVE AT THE MOMENT. NAME TWO THINGS YOU REGRET YOUR CITY NOT HAVING AND TWO THINGS PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID.

I regret that Grand Rapids no longer has the old city hall and the old departments stores, Steketee's and Herpolshimer's.

People should avoid US 131 and also 28th St. during rush hour.
Everything else here is good.

I got married. Change is good.
