On the second shelf of my old book case is my small collection of poetry books.
Baby Boy has found one that he LOVES. He brings it to me almost daily.
It is Elizabeth Barrett Browning's "Sonnets from the Portuguese".

I know! I am just as surprised as you are.
These are not quite up there with Sandra Boynton's "Barnyard Dance" but he seems to really enjoy these.

But, oh, I DO understand about those eyes.

Such a sweet sweet grandbaby :)
You must read those poems really well too!! Cute photo as usual!
Ah, the language of love talks to ANY heart, I'm thinkin'. Hope you got my email about the handwriting? And isn't the internet fickle...last nite I couldn't get the comments here to load for anything...today it took all of 5 seconds. Sigh. Go figure. ;-)
I'm sure you've heard that the eyes are the windows to the soul...those beautiful innocent eyes of a child reflect the innocence within.
Baby Boy is becoming quite the well read young man! I'm impressed!!!
My grandson is a Dave Barry fan - what can I say? I guess he's a bit like his grandma!
I also love Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I only wish my children would have liked it as much as your baby boy. Maybe when I have grandkids I'll be able to read them some of her poetry.
that's so precious!!!
It is funny how at that age a child who is read to often will pick stuff way above their head and consistently....for awhile...he makes good choices - I got to read about the history of tea quite frequently at one stage in the game!!
