A Backyard Picnic

We chose the table with the view of the birds.

The lovely yellow wildflowers on the table were weeds freshly yanked from my hosta beds.

The only trouble was, the wind kept blowing the table cloth over Baby Boy's plate.
I had a hard time convincing him that I do not control the wind.
Thursday I asked my mom how it was that she managed to prepare so many picnics for us when I was a kid. She said it was A LOT of work, but everyone seemed to like it, and it didn't cost much.
If I had to go further than out my backdoor, I'm not sure if I would do it.

Oh my goodness!! It didn't even take a minute for this to load this morning, compared to up to 5 just recently, ha! Hmmm...have I finally figured out my computer bug-a-boos??? Nah...I'm not that lucky, haha! Maybe with it being a holiday there aren't very many people on the internet today! Oh, your picnic looked like fun!!! Dylan would've LOVED that! Instead, we've been walking...and walking...and walking. He loves his rides, and the exercise is doing wonders for Grandma's mid-section, lol! I hope you have a nice holiday weekend, Judy...we don't have much planned outside of a barbecue at our son's house later today. I think I'll spend some time Monday just putzing around in the yard and hoping and praying it doesn't set off my sinus issues again!! It's a beautiful day here...around 9:30 am as I write this and I already have the back door and windows open. I even have some time to myself...Dear Hubby's gone to the archery range for a while. He's on call so I volunteered to man the pager so he could go off and relax for a while. I'm trying to catch up on here...my computer's really been cantankerous. I couldn't even connect to the internet yesterday morning, sigh. Ah well.
