It's Starting to Look Like Home!

Here are two pictures of the living room.
It's the only room THGGM has painted, so far. He has been a VERY busy man.
We've been spending most of our time in the knotty pine paneled den, or the breeze-
way.

The stove isn't hooked up yet, so tonight we had grilled cheese sandwiches on an electric griddle. I haven't found any spatulas yet, so I've got a few interesting burns on my fingers.
Notice that there is a missing fireplace poker. I thought I had done an incredible job of child proofing.
Baby Boy found the poker and attempted to make a 'cat-kabob'.
The cat is fine. The poker is on a high shelf in a closet.

Congrats on being moved in! I love the color of the living room and the clean, white fireplace. It's a beautiful room.

We end up doing the same thing when our grandson is visiting. He just loves to use my long shoehorn as a bread knife. I have no idea how a shoehorn becomes a bread knife, but in his mind it does. He also loves to take my arm extender/grabber and walk around the house using it to reach things he shouldn't. So those are placed where he can't reach them. Better he ride with me on my wheelchair.

I do like cats, but I am laughing my head off, at the "cat-kabob" comment.
It must be very hard keeping a sense of humor, while moving in, AND watching a toddler.
What you have done, so far, is fantastic.
