Daughter, Jonge and Famke came to my house today!
I went to Daughter's this morning, and we loaded them up and brought them here.
Great Grandpa and Great Grandma came over too.
For a minute there it felt like Judy's Home for post-partum recovery, bilirubin light therapy, elder respite, toddler delinquents (there was an episode of me chasing a toddler who was brandishing a steak knife) and a woman in middle-aged-fatigue (that would be me).
My dad, whose medical records would make one wonder how he is still alive was the one in the best shape.
The rest of us all required naps. Frequent potty breaks. And a 'comfy' of some sort - be it a binky, a blanky, coffee or a favorite pink sweater on a 90 degree day.
But, not my dad. He went out for lunch with friends.
More power to him!

what a pretty baby girl!
She looks beautiful. I had to laugh at the description of the afternoon. You are a trooper, you know that?
BTW in this particular photo, you Dad looks like a dear, dear college professor of mine who has known my family since may Dad was in Jr High. (Martin Dekkenga)
Oh boy does she look like her brother!!! She is just a little doll!
How dear! Congrats on your first grand-daughter! Jill
