Today I am still suffering from the lingering effects of a nasty migraine.
It was perfectly sunny and beautiful today, but I wisely chose to stay out of the sun.
Sooo...before breakfast THGGM and I went to a new Goodwill store. I found a brand new not-even-opened Klutz book for .49 cents. Happy happy headachy me!
After breakfast with the family we went to our favorite antique mall. I found a fabulous mirror, brush and comb set - originally nicely priced, but on a 50% off sale.
And, I found a clock face, velvet ribbons (think 'little people' adornments) and a package of iron on transfers. That face on the left? Looks like Famke to me.
And, what Saturday would be complete without a trip or two (two) to the hardware store.
This is my latest idea for the little bathroom off of the kitchen. I believe it is at least idea number four.
I peeled the vinyl paper off months ago, and have grown rather fond of the color of the backing that remained.
This color is pretty close to it, so I bought it. I didn't want to scrape off the gluey part due to the high-gloss minty green paint underneath it. Now that I have the paint, soon and very soon I shall attempt to remove it. The dots above were punched out of other paint samples. I want to paint dots on the walls. I approve of the blue and green, but I think I need to keep looking for a better red.
Oh. And I've already started the Maria Montessori book. It was a prelude to a very long nap, which I must have been in need of. While I napped, THGGM moved a lot of furniture around and I never even heard him. He also got more painting done on the outside trim of the house. I do believe that he accomplished all that he set out to do on his vacation.

Hi Judy... I've been getting caught up here and man! Your creative ideas inspire me so much. You make it even hard for me to sit still.... I want to jump right up and make something--or go shopping at a thrift store. :) Thanks for sharing your ideas and thanks for your comments at my blog, too! Blessings, Debra
Migraines are the PITS! I suffered from them miserably and regularly for about the first 40 years of my life. Then, as I entered the menopausal-prelude years, they mysteriously disappeared. Sinus headaches still plague me at times, but NOTHING like those gotta-go-to-bed-and-DIE migraines. I feel for you. And I agree...the transfer does look like darlin' Famke! Oh, Judy...can I come and 'play' at your house with you one day?! I'd LOVE to go thrift shopping with you.
