Jonge and Famke spent the night with us.
They sleep well here, which is truly a bonus!
Of course, I could not resist the morning light!
And, I love to catch Famke still looking like a baby.
In three short months, she won't BE the baby anymore.
Somedays she looks scornfully upon her bottle. Others, she adores it. .JPG)
Yesterday, it was lunch at Old Country Buffet for Pa's 83rd birthday.

Today, it was breakfast at Arnie's for Youngest Son's 25th birthday.
On one of the many trips around the block on the new (second hand) scooter, we discovered a tiny little fairy door on a tree.
Jonge now has an idea that maybe THIS is where the snack fairy comes from who fills the snack bowl with a treat each day.

Dylan's officially 'bottle-less' now. He held on to his a little longer...I truly think his trip to Texas, when his other Grandma took it from him cold-turkey when he was barely two, really threw him. He had a big attachment to his...I gave it back to him when he stood by me watching me fill Cooper's one day, then signed "Please" and pleaded with me with his big brown eyes and said, "Ba." Sorry...I couldn't say no. I didn't win any points with my d-i-l, I don't think, but he'd begun chewing his fingernails. Once he got the bottle back, the fingernail biting went out the window. So...I'm a great believer in childhood being gone in a minute. We can never get it back. May as well enjoy SOME of it while we can, eh?
