There Is a Moral to this Story

I'm soon heading out to do terribly important things, but I had to note this happy little story first.
THGGM and I went thrift shopping today. That is nothing new. We do that nearly every Saturday.
But today we brought Jonge and Famke along with us. Jonge thought this little cup was great, so into the cart it went.
Then I found this little blue and white Dutch-looking house. Last week it was part of a set of five, this one being the only blue and white one. I have a similar one that I found at an antique store, but I didn't want five of them, and I only wanted the blue and white one. So, I was ecstatic to find that the set had been separated! I was able to buy just the one I wanted.
I have a built in corner cupboard in my kitchen that I am working to fill with things resembling the authentic Delft that this house's previous owner

had in there.
The REAL pieces that I have came from Oldest Son and Daughter-in-law. I love them (and.., well.., them too).
So, since yesterday I reworked everything IN that cupboard, there was no room to just open the door and set the new piece in (the new piece, by the way, is NOTHING like the first piece i bought and HAD i bought all five pieces together i would have been sorely disappointed).
Anyway, as I was moving this small trinket box to add the new piece I heard something in the trinket box rattle.
I opened it, and...
LOOK!!! I found THGGM's wedding ring that has been missing since we moved!!!
Now I remember.
The moral of this story is, everybody should thrift shop for more stuff so that they will move around older stuff and maybe find good stuff that has been missing for a very long time.
Yup. Everyone should.

Many years ago, my mom lost her wedding band, and when she and my dad moved the refrigerator out to sweep under it, there it was.
Glad you found your husband's.

That was one large baby you gave birth to, twenty-five years ago.
Happy birthday to him.
