View From My Couch

This morning, I covered myself up on the couch with my favorite quilt. It's like my own personal blankie now. I reached for my Tasha Tudor books so I could take a moment to enjoy her beautiful art work.
Then, I looked up to see if I really DO like the mirror hung over the fireplace. THGGM and I thought it would warm up the look in this room by reflecting more light.
What it does is reflect a curtain rod and a whole lot of white ceiling.

Then, I noticed that something didn't look quite right with the flower arrangement on the little table.
The colors looked right, the balance was okay, but something just wasn't how it should be.
Do you see it, to?
Look closely.
It looks a teeny bit, well, lumpy in spots.

That Jonge.
He hasn't even been here since Wednesday, yet he entertains me.
I do remember now that he told me that bees like flowers. And I remember asking him if they were pollinating the flowers (but, although i was in the room WITH him, i had no idea WHAT flowers we were talking about) and him replying that NO, they were just hiding in the flowers.
Hmmm.
I think I'll leave it like this and see how long it takes before THGGM notices. That will entertain me, too!

I keep sitting in my family room looking at the mirror above my fireplace. I get the same feeling as you...it reflects the ceiling quite nicely. The jury's still out on whether or not its staying. A decorating rule is never to place a mirror above a fireplace because it only reflects the ceiling...then whey do they always show them that way in magazines and HGTV? I think they are trying to trick us Judy.
