Thursday. Again.

It doesn't seem to matter what I have going on, it just ALWAYS seems like it's Thursday.
Today I made my THIRD trip to the Secretary of State office to transfer the title of my dad's car into my name.
Every time we've been told that there is just ONE more thing that we need.
Hmmm. My FOURTH trip will be on Tuesday, and I hope that will do it.
This time I got a pass to the front of the line and the promise that the same person will be helping me. I certainly hope this is the case. I get queasy in the Sec. of State office. I'm not sure why. Maybe that driver's test I took at sixteen? Could be.
From there I went to visit my mom at the nursing home. Although at first she seemed a bit somber-looking, she perked up nicely and we had a lovely visit. I like to see her respond when I mention names from her past. If it was someone she loved she will light up and sometimes laugh. Occasionally I'll mention someone and get a scowl from her. I'm pretty good at knowing which names will get which reaction (to my sisters: we're all good!).
Today Kado is TEN MONTHS old. This picture is how he napped this week. Would not and I mean WOULD NOT stay asleep if I laid him in his bed. Usually he takes a fistful of my shirt and shoves it into his mouth. He's been teething lately. Anything that I can do to help...
It's 80 degrees here today. My preference is 63, but then nobody asked me.

Alittle guy napping on your lap makes Thursday, or any day, a good day.

Apparently, if a fifth trip is necessary, they provide limo service.

There is nothing sweeter than a baby asleep in our arms. My baby days are fast growing past us. I hold Cooper until he falls asleep, then lay him down and then Dylan and I go to nap on our bed. But Dylan's almost 4 feet tall and 65 pounds now...Cooper's close to 30. We squeeze into our big rocking chair...Dylan loves to drink a cup of juics and hold on to my arm while Cooper drinks a bottle and plays with a strand of my hair. Oh, how I hate to see time pass!

Oh, and don't feel bad. I've been trying to get to the post office for almost 2 weeks to mail off a package to Paraguay. But the lines have been abysmal and there isn't ANY way I'm going to stand behind 15 or 20 people to wait my turn with two little guys in hand! That was up until Tax Day. Then I went the next day and I couldn't use the box I had my gift inside of because it was an old Priority Mail one. Not unless I wanted to pay $32 for the priority international postage! So, back to square one. I'll dig around in Dear Hubby's mailing stuff down in his den and see what I can come up with. He buys, trades, and sells archery gear like nobody's business and always has something lying around.
