I took this picture last July, one of the last times my parents were together.
They'll be together again, soon.
Today my mom was moved back to her room at the nursing home and is receiving hospice care.
She no longer is responsive, but however 'aware' she may be, her surroundings will be familiar to her.

What can I say but, "Oh, Judy!" Oh oh oh....Why aren't we neighbors? Why can't we find time to sit on your breezeway and talk about life and love and family and parents and loss and joy and grandbabies? Life is not fair.

You will be so, so, SO in the center of my heart and thoughts. Not to mention my prayers.

A million bazillion hugs and tissues for you, my favorite bloggy friend.

I feel for your Judy. My Mom visited her Mom this past weekend. She has been unresponsive for several years...but otherwise healthy. She doesn't eat - just sips fluids...

The photo is beautiful...I love the peace on your Dad's face.

Oh Judy, my heart breaks for you - I have not yet lost a parent, but you may be losing a second one soon. Finding comfort in the fact that they will be togther again soon is good, but the sadness still prevails. Thinking of you..

Even though I've been through this...words escape me.
I send you prayers, and understanding, and if I were there I would also hug you. Since I am not there, know that God is there in my place, holding you tightly.

Dear Judy - we have much in common. My father died from heart disease last year on October 11. My mother joined him last month on April 16 after suffering with Alzheimer's disease for a long time and receiving Hospice care at the end.
Wth Hospice care, your dear mom will be kept comfortable and pain free so she can be at peace during her last days on earth.
My heart goes out to you in prayer. I know you will be strong and a great comfort to your mother just as you were for you wonderful father.

Judy... I know you are so thankful that both your parents know Jesus. That is the greatest comfort at times like this and I wish and pray for you much godly comfort as only He can give. Hugs, Debra

I'm so sorry. Knowing that your mother and dad will be reunited, in Heaven, is the only thing that will bring comfort at a time like this.
I lost my mom to Alzheimer's last year. It sounds trite, but they really are/will be in a better place.
Still, it is so hard to lose a loved one, and we miss them terribly.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
