An Afternoon at the Zoo

I learned something about Jonge at the zoo. He is very interested in - and good with - a map!

Another thing I learned at the zoo is just how many pictures one takes that are mostly of the 'backside' of loved ones.

The parakeet cage was a hit with both Jonge and Famke.
What surprised ME the most was how intensely serious they were about feeding the birds.

Daughter LOVED it.

Kado's birthday was two weeks ago. For his birthday, we gave him a zoo membership. It seemed that he had a good time.

Seriously. They DO have faces.

Again, Jonge kept us on track with his map.

On our way out, he is still clinging to the map. And just so you know, we did not get lost, not even once.

Oh the zoo again!! Looks like a good time was had by all...

If he wants to read maps life is going to work out just fine for him as long as the mapmakers are good!!

The girls always buy zoo memberships. What's nice is the discounts one gets to visit other zoos! Because of it they've been to the major zoos in Ohio, to Pittsburg, and Indianapolis. And maybe it's a 4yr old thing: Asher loves having control of the map too...but he's more imaginative than navigative....
