Famke's Family Resemblance

Although it is VERY true that Famke looks like her daddy, this picture I took of her at Kado's first birthday party last month has stuck with me. It reminded me of someone, but I could not quite remember who.

This morning, while going through a box of family pictures, I found THIS one. This is my sister's kindergarten picture. She was in kindergarten the year I was born. Although Famke has deep brown eyes and brown hair, and my sister has green eyes and red hair, I do see an uncanny resemblance!
I've been tossing around in my mind for a while the possibility of putting the last three years of my life down on paper. Working through things (things.., there must be a better word, but it escapes me) has been a slooooow going process. Or maybe just stalled completely. It doesn't feel like I've worked through much of anything. Going through the box of pictures seemed to help.
So, I must ask. If I were to write a book, would you buy it?
Maybe if I threw in a free doorknob pencil holder?

No matter the coloring....the resemblance is there. :0)

If writing about things would help, I urge you to.
Whatever venue it is put in is of your choice.
Nix on the doorknob pencil holder.
LMAO over that.
(((hugs)))

Definitely if you threw in the pencil holder. ;)

I can see the resemblance but I don't think as much as you do.

Especially the face shape, the cheeks, and the brow line. And the shape of the mouth and lips.

Oh...and I think the book is a wonderful idea. That, or write a private blog. My first blog was 'public' - I don't know if you were with me back then or not - and it was my dump-it-all-out-and-get-it-OVER-with place, where I worked out life and death and old baggage and everything else. It was the best free therapy in the world! I still have it tho I never write on it actively any more...it was my 'before' life...my blog now is my 'after'. I went thru a while back and deleted quite a bit. But the actual writing there did, truly, save my sanity at that particular time in life when I first started writing in '05.

Hi Judy,

I saw your comment over at inspireco and wanted to say hi to a fellow Michigander Blogger. Nice to know there's a few of us out there.

Adorable grandkids. I have three myself.

No pencil holder required--resoundingly YES!

I see a strong resemblance. I would read your book and don't throw in the pencil holder!

more like-- spitting image!
Writing is so cathartic. I'll share with you a sentence that I read last night in a book I've just begun to read.
"the telling for me functions as a kind of exorccism,a retrieval and vindication of the self through reliving what occurred."

Isn't that true?
