Well. Would You Look at That.

A picture of something other than a grandchild!
My efforts in domesticity continue.
Not only are we still eating from the bounty of food I cooked on Tuesday morning, but this afternoon I noticed three very ripe bananas in the fruit bowl and thought, Banana Bread!
This, my friends, is news.
The recipe I used calls for nuts, but I don't have them. So I used my handy-dandy-love-them steel cut oats. It was VERY moist and VERY good with just a bit of crunch inside. And outside too, as I baked it in a stone bread pan.
That has not always been the case with me and my banana bread. It usually has a puddle of goo in the center and is burned on the outside. This one did not have either of those problems. Oh, and one time? I forgot to add the sugar. NOTHING you can put on banana bread will make up for not adding sugar.
THGGM pronounced this one very good.
(i bet you didn't know this, but before we had children we took pictures of the things we baked. i'm just saying...)

Enjoy!
Banana bread has been on my mind.
Just haven't been able to get 3 over ripe bananas.
Fruit flies are swarming over the one or two or they have been all eaten. ;0)

I've been thinking about banana bread, too. :) I keep looking at the brown bananas in our freezer and thinking, "You really should, you know...." Yours looked wonderful! I could almost smell it. Blessings, Debra
