Such PLANS had I to THINK yesterday.
Then a migraine descended upon me.
Anyway..,
I had just written a looong boring random post including how awful I was finding the book, "The Primitive".
Since my regularly scheduled activities had to be cancelled, I picked up the book instead.
Didn't put it down until 1:00 this morning.
Sometimes I can't read when I have a migraine. Thankfully, this wasn't one of those times.
What I'm enjoying most is the main character's descriptions of "Zion", which is the fictious name for Grand Rapids.
As the main character is walking to Eastern Avenue Church on a warm fall evening, just a few blocks north I can imagine my mom walking to Wealthy Street Baptist.
Which reminds me.., there are some really great new businesses on Wealthy and Eastern. Nice to see urban neighborhoods come back to life!

Glad the migraine didn't incapictate you.
I get nauseas if I read or look at the computer screen with some migraines and others I can't stand any light and get under the covers and pray for the pain to go away.
Thankfully they don't happen often.
No fun!
I agree, it does feel good to see neighborhoods getting a second breath, I'd like to see a lot more of it!
Also glad you wound up liking your book, it would have been a shame to read it till 1am and not like it!
Who wrote, The Primitive?
