Welcome Hertsje

Hertsje was the star at her shower.  She slept and was happy to be passed around to waiting arms.

In our family there are those who love to play shower games and those who hate to.  So we played one game, and it was for the six and under age group.  Those guys still like games!

They had to sing a song for Hertsje's mommy and daddy so they could learn to sing them to Hertsje.  There were prizes.  Here Kado is taunting Pake with his pink Peep.  Kado chose to sing  "Happy Birthday".

The gifts were amazing!  Did YOU know that there were Jane Austin board books?

And see that green bunny Youngest Son is holding in this picture?  When Youngest Son was born his cousins brought a green bunny up to the hospital for him.  It was always one of his favorite things.  So, almost 28 years later, his cousin brought him another one - this time for his daughter.
Hertsje really seemed to enjoy meeting all of her relatives!

I don't know what is cooler - the Jane Austen board books (no I did not) or the thoughtful green bunny gift.
