Welcome Spring

My magnolia tree appears to be in FULL bloom.  On March 20th.  Unbelievable, yet true.

So, I probably should put aside all of the yarn I've been turning into scarves. I haven't yet, but I probably should.

This morning I played with Jonge, Famke, Kado, and Feintsje while the mommy went to the dentist.

It was fun for me.
In the  afternoon I looked up some ideas I had pinned on my Pinterest boards.

I found a pattern for origami butterflies.  This reminded me of a recent blog post I saw at todolwen.blogspot.com where the butterflies were made from old music.  Usually I find old music to be a bit too thin or brittle to fold, but I had recently purchased  a music book for a different butterfly project and it worked wonderfully for these!

Not exactly sure what I'm going to do with them other than stipple the edges with ink and hang them with fishing line - on what I do not know.

I made a flock in brightly colored origami paper and a few in scrapbook paper, but the music ones are my favorites.

Knit in the sun, wear in the snow, does this help?, on cold, bright spring and autumn days the sun can shine mischievous, making you think it is warm outside, go sit inside in the sun and knit. This year (and last Christmas) over here people hung/hang a twisted about two inches thick branch of about a yard and a quarter long from the ceiling, with Christmassy things on fishline, but now with empty Eastereggs, homemade flowers and butterflies and bumblebees. I like how the musicsheet patterned the butterflies.DM

Maybe fluttering around outside in your breezeway somewhere? Isn't this the house that has a breezeway? I lose track, lol!
