Easter!

Easter Dinner with the family was wonderful.

Again, I forgot to take pictures of the overabundance of food over which we gave thanks.

Like my mother before me, I'm always afraid that we won't have enough food.  Seriously, I waaay overestimate the appetites of my people.
After dinner we adjourned to the backyard for the annual Easter egg hunt.

Besides just the usual eggs, Uncle Clayton surprised everyone with these really cool noise makers.

He is recovering nicely from his shoulder surgery, but still has a lot of therapy to go through.
There were plenty of babies to go around.

This is Feintsje, clutching an egg while being held by his Uncle Youngest Son.

Kado's daddy showed him how he could shoot candy directly into Kado's mouth by using the noise maker.  Kado thought this was amazing!
Hertsje was her usual loveliness.  She has the most adorable little legs, which we could see since she was wearing her new Easter dress.
Zeke  is claiming what he believes to be his rightful place on the couch.  Zeke is never happier than when our home is teeming with family.
Besides just snuggling the babies, uncles also read stories.  This one is about Bert and Ernie.  Or as Kado refers to them, Bernies.
Don't worry.  I cleaned up the yard before Pake hid the eggs.
I found all of my plastic eggs at the thrift store about a month ago.  Next year I'll need even more as Feintsje and Hertsje will be on their feet.
Hertsje had the best time talking with her great aunt.
Great Nephew is such a little man.
Remember our holiday cousin?  All the way from Maine.  He was one of Oldest Son's roommates his first year at Cornerstone.  My, my.  They have grown up since then.
The day ended with a wild rendition of Pat-a-Cake as preformed by Feintsje.

Oh.  And in this picture, Feintsje looks SOOO much like his uncles at this age.
I think a good time was had by all.

Anyway, a good time was had by me!

And now I am VERY tired.

We had a wonderful, wonderful Easter with just the four of us.

Your nephew is quite the little man.

My girls have those same noisemakers (my parent's bought them for them).

It looks wonderful.
