What's Not to Love about Monday?

After a quiet weekend, it got noisy at my house this morning.

Quiet is overrated.

Someday I'll teach Jonge how to hold his hands at the piano, but for now he can do it his way.

Notice I found two music books at the thrift store this weekend?

A Carpenters and a Fiddler on the Roof.  LOOOOVE to find these!
Feintsje is VERY mobile now.

Presently changing his diaper is a two person job.

I should have taken up wrestling, because I do it all day long anyway.

This boy is such a delight!

Today I was thankful that he napped very well.

Jonge created some interesting bunnies this morning.

These he makes piece by piece and then glues all of the pieces together.

This one was put into an envelope and tucked away into his backpack to be given to his beloved kindergarten teacher.
I had fun too.
Famke still enjoys snipping paper to bits, although the bits aren't as minuscule as in the past.

Most of her work needs to be scraped off the table, but she enjoys doing this even though her face doesn't show it.
Oh!  Another fun find this weekend was this scrapbook paper - 7 sheets for a dollar at Michael's.

Most of my recycled cans are sporting this paper now.  This size nicely holds the glue sticks.
While we craft, Kado can be seen in the distance playing the low notes on the piano.

He IS pretty good.  Maybe we can work up a duet of "Sabbath Prayer".

The bunny theme caught on.

Soon someone appeared sporting the ears.

Noticing that the bunny had no cotton tale, we made one!

If you would like one, here's how!

Glue a cotton ball to a clothespin, and then pin the clothespin to the bottom of the back of your shirt.

It wiggles really cute as one hops around.

No one would let me take a picture of them dressed up like a bunny though.

They are on to me.
In the afternoon Famke strung beads made from cut-up straws onto lacing card string.  She LOVED this.  But again, you would never know it from her face.

She's a sweetheart.

Earlier in the afternoon I found her sitting alone in the dark den with an old pink flannel blanket of hers slung over her chest.

I peeked in and asked her if she was okay.

She smiled and whispered, "I'm just nursing my baby."

Seriously.  I cannot think of anything I'd rather be doing than spending my days with the grandkids.

Oh my Famke's face is a stitch - I am positive you are telling the truth but one wouldn't know it...
