An Afternoon with Famke

This afternoon Famke and I had some time to do the things that WE like to do together.

She found her favorite magazine to peruse and brought me one of my favorites.  There was much exchanging of what we found interesting.  Then we read her new book about going to kindergarten and what to expect.

Next she told me that she would like to do arts and crafts (so sad that she no longer calls it 'arts and crabs') so we made these cute little toilet paper roll owls.  She was impressed and amazed with how much she could do all by herself!

She mentioned how she would like to have another tea party soon.

Soon?  Why not now?

So we DID!
And it was awesome.

Raspberry water was our tea, and we made mini-s'mores in the microwave.

We even used the windmill cups I recently found for a dollar at the thrift store.

Oh!  And for the big doll, who was Famke's guest we used the teeny tiny tea set I found for 40 cents.
There were only three plates, so with the odd teeny tiny tea cup Famke made a necklace!

(yes.  as you can see, i'm still altering pictures on www.picmonkey.com)

What FUN we had!

There was even time for her to rest while watching an episode of Caillou.

And time for me to check my email.

All because the two little brothers took a THREE HOUR NAP AT THE SAME TIME!

They woke up so happy too.

She's definitely growing up. Ask her if I might "steal" the teacup necklace idea from her. And what IS her favorite magazine?

Looks like a fun day for all. One thing about having only grandsons...no tea parties at our house. :-(
