The Good The Bad The Happy The Sad

The Good:  It is so beautiful outside with the fall color in full swing.

The Bad:  That scratch so close to Hertsje's eye that happened while she was with me.

The Happy:  The Detroit Tiger's move on to the World Series!

The Sad:  My sister's husband passed away yesterday.  He was truly a kind and loving man.  Our family was richly blessed to have known him.

Dear Judy,
The leaves have been beautiful here too. The leaves fell early, but the color is as gorgeous as ever.
Too bad about Hertsje's sweet little face, but she will heal. No child gets through childhood without such incidences.
Yeah, Tigers!
So sorry to hear about your sister's husband, your BIL. There is never a good time to lose a loved one. I'm sure he was blessed to have known you all too.
Have a good weekend.

My condolences to you, your sister and the families. It is truly sad to lose a loved familymember, take care of each other. Hands and hearts and arms are so usefull to wrap around the hurt ones. It is all said in the Familiy Tree by the Sweet People. Do not forget to wrap arms around yourself. DM

The Autumn colors ARE so beautiful! And Hertsje's eye is still there and working fine, thank the Lord...but I always hate it when the grandboys are hurt in any way on my watch, too. Grandma guilt. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Tigers! And I am so very, very sad to hear of the passing of your brother-in-law. I will keep your sister in my prayers.

First off, my condolences to you and your family.

The scratch, Just consider HERself blessed, her eye is fine. I had a Mother from my Church who would have me looking at her boys' (2) latest injury . . . she would fret, but once again they had managed to miss vital parts. You can't wrap them in bubble wrap and life just happens.

On the drive to and from Nebraska, (I waved as I went through your part of the state!), Mom and I saw some spectacular color. Granted mostly in Michigan . . . come on . . . Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska??? dried up corn fields mostly!

Judy, I am so sorry for your family's loss. Is this the sister who often visits with your great nephew? Take good care of each other and I know all of you will.
Hertsje's little eye will heal. They just seem to get those bumps, bruises and scratches, part of childhood. The colors here have been so beautiful and I have been enjoying God's beautiful display.
God bless!

Kind of reminds me of the theme song from (was it?) "The Facts of Life".... "you take the good, you take the bad".

Happy and sad WITH you, Judy.

So sorry for your family, especially for your sister. Praying for comfort and consolation.

Owies on gramma time are never good. They tend to hurt our hearts way more than they hurt the wee ones.

I celebrate the Tigers win with you. But then again, I celebrate just about anybody who beats the Yankees.
