Oh, yes, you read that correctly. In five months Christmas Day shall arrive, right on schedule.
And look!
I've already started making stuff!
Just a reminder, by the time the holidays are upon me, I'm sooo over the stuff I've made in July. But I still have bunches of fun with it all.
There is nothing like sitting at my kitchen table on a lovely July day burning my finger tips with hot glue.
This tree still needs a bit of tweaking, and another layer of craft sticks at the top. I also have a wooden star I'm hoping to put on top when that last layer is finished. Then, to fill in the blank spots and think about the possibility of staining it.
The craft sticks are glued to a paper cone and the base is a candle stick I found for 50 cents at the thrift store.

I thought of you today. I went to the coffee shop at our nearby grocery to do some writing. At the entrance to the grocery there was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Christmas in July. Ho, ho, ho.
Just take a rubber band and tie tweezers (large ones, about 6 inches) to your hotgluegun, saves a klot of fingertopsipping and auches. How do I know, well, lets put it this way; you can not crossstitch with burned fingertips. DM
I love it when you do the Christmas countdown! It's exciting to think that we're more than halfway there.
Very cute . . . but sometimes I hate you. ;)
How clever! What weight of paper did you use for the cone?
(And I'm still trying to visualize the rubber band and tweezer solution for burnt fingers....)
