Big Boys Sleep Over Weekend!

And, oh, what FUN we had!

Jonge is a lover of tradition, so we did the 'usual' stuff on Friday night.

But on Saturday morning we strayed from our traditions and went downtown for breakfast with Oldest Son and DiL1.  We had breakfast at The Omelet Shoppe.  My FAVORITE omelet is the California Veggie, which has avocado, green olives, mushrooms, and tomato.  Not sure what everyone else had, as I was too focused on my food!

After breakfast we went to the Grand Rapids Public Museum to see the Dinosaur Exhibit!  Of course, me being me, I forgot to bring my camera.
But Oldest Son lives close so he want home to get his camera.

If you want to see any of those pictures, they are on Facebook.  I don't know how to move them from there to here, so, just imagine SCARY DINOSAURS and a few very excited boys!

It had been awhile since THGGM and I had been to the public museum.  I had forgotten how much I enjoy it.  And, since I did not have my camera I was able to notice things that I would otherwise have missed.  What those things were I cannot remember anymore -  I never remember what I have done until I see the pictures - I do retain a 'good feeling' about our day.

When we got back home it was obvious that there were a few people in need of rest.  THGGM took a nap, Jonge built things with Legos, and Kado tried valiantly to keep his eyes open, but could not do it.  So, while he rolled around on the floor, I preformed 'surgery' on his Woody doll.  Woody had three major boo-boos, but I think I have him patched up rather well.  It isn't pretty, but I think he will last a few more rounds of whatever it is Kado does to him.

Today I spent a good deal of time playing Christmas songs on the piano.  I've learned in the past that if I don't do it now, I'll most likely not get around to doing it in December.  I believe it was all those years of singing in choir at school where the Christmas music came out in September that makes November not seem early at all!
