Fifty Years Ago Today

Where was I when I heard the news that John F. Kennedy had been assassinated?

I was five years old at the time and was at home since I went to kindergarten in the morning.  My mom, who wasn't feeling well at the time, and I were watching TV in the living room.  I remember it all very clearly.

Presently I stopped watching TV (still recording to view later) because there is just so much to take in.
Besides the fact that I am extremely overwhelmed with the thought that this all happened 50 years ago.

I miss my mom.  I miss our old living room.  I miss black and white news reports.

Did you know that C.S. Lewis died on that same day?
