I Truly AM Related to the Nicest People

At the wedding we went to in Wisconsin on the 16th I sat next to my cousin, whom I haven't seen since the last time someone died.  He had recently returned from a vacation in India.  Me, not being a world traveler at all mentioned the only thing current I knew of India, which was that Jonge is studying India at school this month.
So today when the mail came there was an envelope with no return address.  I opened it and out came this rupee from India!  Jonge is going to be one happy boy to bring this to school with him tomorrow!  THGGM helped Jonge looked it up on the Internet.  He didn't know who Ghandi was, so I'm not sure how DEEP of a study of India they do in second grade, but he did know a rather interesting Indian dance!

My freshman year of college, I told the following joke in my writing class:

Mahatma Gandhi, as most people know, walked almost everywhere he went, giving him an impressive set of callouses on his feet. He also fasted often, which made him frail, and as a result of his odd diet, he had bad breath. What did this make him?

A super-calloused fragile mystic hexed with halitosis.

The response was, "Who's Gandhi?" and, "Wasn't he that Arab dude?"

This may say more about my particular college than the state of education over the last decade, but Jonge's way ahead of the game.
