Hospital Visit

Today Feintsje had his very first, and hopefully only, visit to the emergency room.

This morning he was at home lying on his back on the floor while he happily played with his Lego.

Daughter noticed him suddenly begin to choke.

After the choking stopped, which took some time, she asked him what he had swallowed.

He told her "a battery".

She could not imagine how that could have happened, as batteries aren't just lying around, but since he has older siblings, pretty much anything is possible.

So, off they went to the ER where Feintsje's throat and tummy were X-rayed.

What was found was a small screw with a very pointy end, already in his small intestine.  The doctor is certain that it will pass through with no damage.  Apparently, 95% of the time that is what happens.

In this picture Feintsje is showing you where the screw is now.  Don't worry.  There will be no further pictures of the screw.

Oh boy. Waiting to hear things are fine.

Could you send me some *enthusiasm* about decorating for Christmas? I seem to have misplaced mine!

Stay warm,
Jen

Waiting to hear the happy "ending". The very pointy end part gave me shivers!
