Saturday, You Were Good to Us!

Saturday THGGM and I went to Robinette's to pick up donuts and cider.  What a gorgeous fall afternoon it was!  West Michigan is well arrayed with gorgeous Fall color.  I LOVE fall!

I love fall too, but only when it is golden, I hate grey autumndays with storm and rain. Have you noticed how winter has silver light shades, then, when you snif the air and thawdays are coming, the light difuses to all shades of springflower colors, summer arrives and the sun is silvery hot or red and orange (sunglasses needed) and autumn comes and all things get a golden hue in the sunlight. I love seeing the shades change, sniffing the air and looking at the sky for the moon. At the 53th latitude by carefully watching one can see the moon even at midday almost all year long! I call the mooon my constant companion, it gives a safe feeling somehow. DM
