Ahhhh.

Have I mentioned lately just how much I LOVE this quarterly magazine?

Oh. I did? About three months ago?

I have a stash of peat pots in my studio (studio has a much nicer sound than basement, don't you think?) that I hope to turn into something spectacular. See the frozen Charlotte standing in the peat pot? Her history is amazing.

As much as I'd like to have a frozen Charlotte, I think I'll do something with my pipe cleaner people and wool felt. I don't happen to have a frozen Charlotte, and I do so like the bendiness of the pipe cleaner people.

So after the necessary bits for survival get accomplished this morning, I plan to sit down with Somerset Life, a soft quilt, my warm dog, and a cup of hot coffee...

My Not So Somerset Life

I know. I know. I say it ALL THE TIME. But I L.O.V.E. this magazine!
All this week I have been sick with whatever it is that is going around. And around. And around again.
I should not be complaining. Jonge has it REALLY bad. His has gone into a very painful ear infection which caused him to vomit. My ear only hurt one night and although I am very dizzy there has been no vomiting for me.
So, what have I been doing when I've not been hugging ill grandchildren?
Perusing my newest issue of Somerset Life!

Yes, it is pricey, and yes, I am poor. BUT. It only comes out four times a year so that brings the price to $5.00 a month. And with my 15% Barnes and Noble card I kinda/sorta feel that I am worth it.
Because once I have this magazine in my chubby greedy hand, I already possess the things I need to experiment with the lovely ideas inside!
Look at those lovelies to your left.
See?
Those are made with empty TOILET PAPER ROLLS.

I kid you not.
And, I already HAVE plenty of those. Along with old ledgers, old books, bit'o this and that and even the bees wax!
Oh, my.
And I even have a room in the basement where I can putter around unhindered by that voice behind me saying...

..."were you planning to clean this up any time soon?"
No. I was not.
But now I don't have to!
And just so you know how sick I've been (please send pity. okay. well don't then.) - Easter was on Sunday. It is now Friday. I have not been to a thrift or antique store yet.
I'm thinking that maybe, just MAYBE, when THGGM gets out of work we will go out for dinner and then on to our favorite thrift stores. He gets out at 2:00 today.
I remain ever hopefully yours, Judy
