Ten Months Until Christmas

Yes. It's true. There are only ten months until Christmas. Yesterday, I took down my snowmen, which go up with the Christmas decorations, but stay up longer, as it is truly still winter here. Youngest Son carried the last box up to the attic for me.

I still have a roomful of nutcrackers to put away, but they too do not seem like just Christmas decorations to me. So, they remain for now.

Now I'm already starting to think of Christmas gifts for Baby Boy, who will be one week short of a year old this Christmas. I'm leaning heavily towards those all wood blocks of various shapes and sizes. The set I want for him runs in the hundreds of dollars, so I'd better start saving - now.

Actually, I might just buy them for myself. I do that a lot. Then I can keep them here, and play with them myself, when no one is looking.

Merry Ten Months 'Til Christmas!

The best $100 I ever spent was on a high-quality set of wooden blocks.
