Eight months until Christmas
Have you given a thought
To what you will make
Out of what you have bought?
Go grab a pencil, a pen
or some chalk
Please hurry, I tell you
There's no time to balk.
For Christmas will grab you
When you least expect it
And if you're prepared
It won't be so hectic.
So gather your thoughts
Your wishing, your dreaming
And put them on paper
To keep you from screaming.
You'll be ready, I tell you
When the big day arrives
And won't have to suffer
From big itchy hives.

ARE YOU KIDDING? I don't think about Christmas EIGHT days before Christmas!!
But that could be because we don't have to buy presents or fix food for fabulous parties, or worry about which relative's shindig to attend...no, our biggest decision is which of the lovely Christmas pageants & Christmas eve services to attend. Lovely...simply lovely.
Oh, it's not ALL that busy over here. I just always have 'ideas'
for stuff to make and if I don't start now, I end up blowing on gifts hoping they will dry in time to wrap!
Yes. That actually happened two Christmas' ago. My kids blew on the gifts and then wrapped them for me.
Decoupage - it must be done in advance!
I love this poem and vow to actually do this every year and always come up short!
I think I will try again and re-copy this on the front of my CHRISTmas notebook with your permission of course!
God bless,
Helen(grammea)
Love this. I just told my husband the other day that I need to start planning and making Christmas gifts. It was very hectic last year and I vowed that I wouldn't procrastinate so much this year.
It is a very nice poem...
good reminder...
the days, months and years
"fly by"...
Thank You. 8-)
