Come, Meet the Family

This is THGGM's grandpa. This is his house. After grandma died, we bought the old house and lived in it for over a decade. I was surprised to see the very same table cloth that is on their dining room table in the 1950's is the very same table cloth that is on my dining room table right now! (goodness. i AM good at recycling!)

Oh, and we USED to have that floor lamp. I think it got knocked over a few too many times.

And, that mirror hanging over their buffet? It hangs in our downstairs bathroom.

We did remove that wool patterned carpet before we moved in.

I wish we'd saved it. I can think of several places it would work. But, the spot where grandpa's feet are was almost totally worn through when we moved in.

THGGM never knew his father. Grandpa was all he had.

I'm so glad we have many pictures of the two of them together.

You can tell that grandpa was as crazy about THGGM as THGGM is crazy about Baby Boy.
