Experienced Grandpa

Well. There's that bench again!

Probably at about the time this picture was taken, grandpa would have been very ill with the stomach cancer that killed him.





Grandpa was an expert gardener.

Their backyard was a showcase of gorgeous flowers and plants.

I know this, because occassionally amazing things would pop up in the backyard when I was in charge of it. And, I've seen pictures.

I spent over ten years trying to kill a false grapevine that tried to take over the fence each year.

But some very gorgeous Iris' lived on long after grandpa to remind us of him each spring. And poppies. Oh, and Desert Candle plants.
