I found some more interesting WWI things in a box of pictures. Grandpa's Honorable Discharge papers, a pay book and a directory.I spent a portion of the afternoon looking through all of these things. I'd like to get it sorted out and in a permanent place.
We've had the medal for years. It's been on display in our living room with grandpa's pocket watch, his bars and an army portrait. It means more now.
On memorial day I like to pin the medal on THGGM.
To remember.
