Us - 1985


This is us, at the end of a very eventful day at THGGM's work picnic.

That is a sweet photo! It is so hard to believe we are that many years past this time, isn't it?

It seems weird to me that if I had been asked to recall that day without seeing a picture, I would have imagined the kids to be older than they are.

I remember that the ornary looking Youngest Son did NOT want to wear the 'Mr. Rogers' sweater - which he LOVED - and was in dire need of a nap.

Daughter is smiling like that because she wants to hurry back to the swings, which are the kind with a metal horse's head on them - which she LOVED. She's just waiting for the picture formality to be done with.

Oldest Son likes to have his picture taken and no longer napped, so he was perfectly agreable.

THGGM was of course in his element, as he LOVED his job and all the people he worked with.

But really, I remember them as being older that day.
