Look what I found! Kathryn's actual handwriting!
Today I remembered that in my collection of postcards, I have many that THGGM's grandmother gave to me. I found this postcard with a picture of the high school where Clarence and Kathryn taught.
On the back is a note of congratulations to THGGM's grandparents on the birth of their daughter, THGGM's aunt
The couple in the photos would be THGGM's grandfather's and also Kathryn's parents.
I'm still searching and researching and hope to come up with more soon. I have a collection of old Christmas cards in a different location, so I'll be checking those when I get the chance.
I found listed in records on line the family name with a first name I didn't recognize. I mentioned it to THGGM, and he told me that family members name is the middle name of several of the boys in his family. This brother died of the flu during the Great War.
I find it hard to believe that I was the only one interested in keeping this great stuff. And, I am just an in-law.

Some people aren't at all interested. A distant realtive of Cuppa's did a genealogy going back to 1200 or so. She sent a copy to each of her siblings. No one even bothered to glance at it.
That is great stuff! I love it! A picture of the school they taught at. Handwriting...how personal! Please, keep sharing what you learn I am enjoying it.
