It Happened Again!

This is THGGM. Today, he is working in the southern portion of Indiana. He still has an eight hour drive home after that.

But, he will be riding home with a huge smile on his face.

(right about here my children will all know what happened. yes. one of THOSE stories.)

Someone he worked with yesterday guessed his age at thirty. Thirty. This guy is thirty and he thought THGGM to be his same age.

THGGM has children who are 25, 23, and 22. He has a six month old grandson. His goatee is white.

And, he wasn't with me, who would, I am sure, be mistaken for his mother.

Anyway, just for the record. He is 47. He looks 47. He acts 47.

So, we can add this to the stories of the ticket taker at the movies thinking he was a 'student' when he went to a movie with Oldest Son.

And, how about the one when Daughter was in Victoria's (has no) Secret(s) buying pajamas for a 'personal' shower for soon to be Daughter-in-law? THGGM wouldn't go in. Daughter held up some cute pajamas for her father to see, and the saleswoman said, "Does you husband like those?" I believe as the story goes, Daughter threw-up, or nearly did.

When THGGM and Oldest Son worked full-time together for a year, people thought they were brothers. As Oldest Son used to say, "Brothers? We have the SAME NAME!"

Oh well. He will be hard to live with this weekend.

Loved this post!! And as I told you before, I can certainly identify with it, having a husband of my own who looks about 20. :) Unfortunately, my days of being mistaken for 20 are long gone... boo... hooo... but oh well! :) Thanks for sharing and thanks, too, for your encouraging comments at my blog... Oh, and I have another new-to-me favorite issue of ME's Home Companion which I won on Ebay last week... I'll have to email you about it! :) Blessings, Debra

It is so totallly not fair...if they had to have babies, maybe they would be old, fat and gray too!! But that is ok...I still am happy I was the mommy, in spite of how I look!!

LOL! My Dear Hubby has been impossible to live with ever since a friend of my daughter's told her, "Your Dad is HOT!" My hair was silver at 35...at 52, it's more white than silvery. And Dear Hubby? Like THGGY...mistaken for someone 30 years younger outside of his white goatee, lol! Enjoyed your gardening post too, Judy, as well as the adorable photos of Baby Boy and Grandpa. Dear Hubby takes care of our Little Man every Sunday morning at church so our daughter-in-law could go back to teaching her Sunday School class. Grandparenthood is great, isn't it? Have a great weekend...hope THGGY makes it home safe and sound.

I was recently cutting my SILs grass, and the neighbour asked me if I was the brother. That was quite nice.
