Thrifting for Doilies

Yesterday morning, THGGM and I headed out for our usual Saturday entertainment. Thrift shopping.

Mostly what I found were great deals on clothes for my mom and for Baby Boy.

But, for me I found all of these doilies and such. They were .25 cents - .50 cents, except for the small table cloth on the right, which set me back $1.25.

I could not believe it.

Glad I had my weekend fun on Saturday morning, because I have been sick the rest of the weekend.

Every ailment I get fell upon me during the night.

Except for a headache. I don't have one of those. For which I give thanks!

Do you and THGGY ever go to flea markets or auctions?? I am so totally addicted to "Cash in the Attic" on BBC America -- I don't care for the American version of the show on HGTV; the hosts are too hyper and screwy, haha! I told Dear Hubby we have GOT to start hitting auctions sometime...I think it'd be so much fun!! As long as I don't get carried away like my father-in-law did years ago...he bid -- and bought! -- a 5-fingered bowling ball and the man has never bowled, LOL! I guess it was a bowling ball they use for sizing, to figure out how big to make a person's finger holes?? I know next-to-nothing about bowling, but you'd have to know my dad-in-law to understand just how funny that story is. He's about the most quiet, reserved man on earth...'til the excitement of the bidding got ahold of him. I've got to start looking up Flea Markets in "The Oregonian" and we need to go to some of them, too.

Such great deals! Thanks for stopping by and being concerned for my welfare after my trek for the free ice cream cone - back in April! I laughed so hard at a comment you left on Mel's blog the other day. Judy you're the best. I hope and pray you feel better soon.
