Seven Months Old Today

Yes! Baby Boy is seven months old today!

I realized this when I did my one job for the day.

I flipped my three calendars to August.

Took all the energy I have!

Is it too much to hope that all he will want to do today
is smile sweetly from his blanket?

One CAN always hope!

I had plans to throw a roast into the crock-pot,
but I think it would cook faster if I just walked out
side and dropped it onto the tar. But, that would
take energy, and I have NONE. And, I don't
like my roasts well done.

Yes! Preach it that the heat is UNBEARABLE!! Here in West Texas, we're having an "average summer" with temperatures staying in the triple digits, but I heard that North Dakota hit 112* yesterday!!! Bless them!! And I bet there are only 3 air-conditioning units in the entire state! It does, indeed, sap your energy!

I've been hearing about the heat wave you all are having. Here in the Pacific Northwest it's been in the 70's for over a week now! Stay cool.
Adorable baby!

Stumbled across your blog!
Like it very much, especially the 'this is just how it is' attitude.
E.
P.S.: I think you undervalue yourself!

Hang in there! It's supposed to be better here tomorrow which means probably even sooner where you are! Thanks for the reminder to flip calendars--I need to go flip mine (and then take a nice, long nap due to all that exertion in this humidity!) :) ... Blessings, Debra

I came by last week and "snooped" through your vintage ware and house (hope you don't mind). Loved your collections and decor! I can't wait to be a grandma ... (that is in the right order with my children ... marriage first :) Maybe in a few years. Have a great time with baby ... spoil him ... that's what grandmas are supposed to do.
