Thrifting vs. Antiquing

Just one example of the difference between thrift shopping and antique shopping.

These blocks.

I paid either 50 cents or a dollar for all sixteen of them at the thrift store. This are very nice and Baby Boy plays with them all the time (so do i).

I saw twelve of these very same blocks, although in much dirtier and worn condition, at an antique store last weekend. Each block was one dollar.

Although I do have to admit, there are times that I find things for much cheaper at the antique store than I do at the thrift stores. But mostly not.

That is an interesting thought. I ought to look through my old toys stored in the garage. Maybe I could find an antique store to take them off my hands..LOL.
