The Family

Our family picture tradition never included me. I always wanted a fall picture of THGGM and the kids. I never wanted to be in it. And, since I was the photographer, it was easy to stay out of them in the olden days.
Son-in-law (front and center) has a fabulous camera. Just seconds before this picture was taken, he jumped into the picture.
All my attempts to stay out of the picture falled.

Lovely photo...feel so much better seeing you in it...I know how you feel...I also try to stay out of photos and be sure to NEVER send any to my in-laws with me in them...seems to make them happiest that way...took me a few years to figure it out...

Oh, what lovely photos, Judy! And such a pretty place to take them in! It's so nice to see a photo of YOU, too, besides the little "teaser" in the upper corner of your blog, ha! I'm the same way, tho...just HATE photos of myself. Good grief, our little guys are growing up so fast it's scary, isn't it? Too bad Baby Boy couldn't send out a little bit of that hair to Dylan! Amazingly, with so many dark-haired family members, his is coming in such a pale gold color it looks like it's barely there! But his mama was a blondie as a little girl, as were my daughter Kaitlin and me, too. Mine started darkening when I was around 10. I've been silver haired for so long now it's hard to remember myself with any other hair color! Back to your photo...you remind me a lot of my very dear friend Donna. ((HUG))

I'm glad that your attempts to stay out of the picture failed. This is a wonderful family picture. Very appropriate on this Canadian Thanksgiving Day.

I love that we can see the baby's toes. Too cute. And hurray for you getting in the picture. Your grandchildren and their grandchildren will all want to search your face for similarities, you know.

By the way, does your oldest son know how much he looks like his dad? Wow.
