I found this "Picture Book" at the Thrift Store yesterday. I went there to buy coffee filters, only to find that they do not carry them anymore. Defeated, I had to look around. You know how it is.

I found two Bob the Builder's for Baby Boy. That was fun. I also found some blocks. And, a wire 'locker' basket for 99 cents.
I wandered over to the pattern/craft magazine area and found this book. It did not have a price on it. I thought it would be at least a dollar or two, so I meandered through the store putting back things I had added to my wire basket.

I needn't have done that. They only charged me 10 cents. The first woman asked what it was. I said I had found it by the magazines. She noted that it said 'childrens' on the front, so she charged me a DIME.

I LOVE this book! I'm crazy about children's illustrations, and this is the perfect fix for someone like me.

It's been fun looking through it, and noting which illustrators I have been admiring. I'm also enjoying seeing who has been influenced by whom.

This book is the size of a catalog. I am having a wonderful time looking through this, while I listen to the Tiger/Oakland A's game.
Ahhh...a perfect combination.
I've got my popcorn here.., life is good.
There IS treasure everywhere.
One just needs to look.
