February Favorites

Zells! I LOVE this stuff! I'm having a much harder time finding it. The last time I saw a sugar and creamer, it was in the 'antique' case at a thrift store. One could only consider it's condition as utterly horrible. And, they were asking $27.00. The pieces I have were picked up here and there at local antique malls. I can assure that I would never have paid that much.

The colors are bright and the designs are charming. Well, to ME anyway.

Some days I'm even tempted to just display the stamp.
I've seen that done before.

Is it true that Michigan is the cloudiest state? It would seem so.
It's been a very loooong time since I've been able to get a good picture.
Sorry.
But, even in poor light, these are still some of my favorite things.

I can tell you the cloudiest COUNTY in the country! It has to be Grays Harbor County in Washington State. That's where I grew up, a small town on the southern border of the Olympic Rain Forest. It must've rained 300 days out of the year, and 60 degrees would have people out in tank tops and shorts washing their cars! Very, very gloomy. I couldn't live there now, but when I was a kid it was all I knew. NOW I know better, ha! It doesn't rain in Portland as much as it's reputation says it does, believe me.
