Of Puppets and Puppet Shows

Kado was the audience for today's puppet show.
As you can see, he enjoyed it very much.

Our puppet theater is behind the couch.
Lots of room for two puppeteer's.
One of them can get in and out on his own.

And one of them needs a bit of help.

I found these wooden people at the craft store (michaels). Twelve boys and twelve girls for $2.99.

VERY worth it. These hold up better than paper, and we colored them with prisma colored pencils. Both sides can be colored.

Once Jonge is allowed to use scissors again we will try dressing them up with fabric, yarn, buttons and bits of lace.

I also purchased a bag of 24 faces on a stick. Or, maybe the faces just had very long necks. We just may have to try making little shirts to cover our hands for those puppets.

This was a really fun project!

Fun - the girls have a puppet theater I made them - they did reader's theater of Frog and Toad this summer and performed it three different times once to my parents, wants to adopted grandparents, and once for the neighbors.
