Listening to the Birds

Listening to the birds around here one would think that they want spring to come even more than I do.
Today I wandered through the house picking up things here and there to 'spring it up' a bit.
I came away with a dome, a plate, a bird, a real nest, a page from an old hymnbook, a magnolia branch, a feather, a few bits of crepe paper, a few strands of raffia, and some Scrabble letters.
And this is what I ended up with!
Tomorrow I'll try to think of a way to raise up the nest so it shows more.
Nothing is stuck down in any sort of permanent way. I'm not sure why, but I have a hard time doing that.
My rooms in the basement are beginning to fall into place. I had my heart set on a neat and tidy work space. But then I remembered that I am me. No one has ever described me as neat and tidy. I'm inching my way closer and closer to controlled confusion though, and that is making me happy.

I like that 'controlled confusion'....I guess that sounds like me too. I like your dome very much.

Judy you are so creattive. I see the hymn is that old, precious one, Under His Wings! I've been hearing the birds a lot lately too. It is so encouraging after this long, snowy winter!
