The Lunch Train

Like I said, Jonge, Famke and Kado spent the night on Sunday. They ALL slept ALL night. We didn't even have to pay them too!
I had the forethought to make crock-pot oatmeal for breakfast. They all seem to like it, with apples and cinnamon.

For lunch we had green beans and home made macaroni and cheese.
In honor of Pa, who worked as a welder for C&O Railroad, Jonge lined up the chairs (that used to be Pa's) and made a train.
Of course, they all have a train whistle too!

This made it possible for me to cook lunch without fear of little people underfoot.
My mom still bears a large scar from an unfortunate incident with a boiling tea kettle which happened when I ran between her and the kitchen table.
Safety first.
