Making Progress

Oh. The progress I've made!

My basement rooms are coming along nicely.

It is HARD work, all that sorting and purging.

BUT.

One room is done enough that I can now - at my leisure - get it better organized. My dream is to eliminate ALL cardboard boxes.

Another room now contains all of our holiday/seasonal stuff. It could be organized better, but at least for now it is out of the way. It's an old root cellar with deep shelving from floor to ceiling.

The room I've been working on now holds my sewing machine and a few tables. THGGM took the old curtains that had been in our living room and dining room and hung them along one wall. It's interesting. I like it. Much better than trashing something of value. Thursday I intend to remove one old broken table, add another table and fix the leg on a table that matches it. Then, I hope to move the two matching tables together, add six chairs around them and stand back and just LOOK at it all. And cry.

I'm going to need some GOOD overhead lighting above those tables, but that just may have to wait a bit.

Obviously, I'm pretty good at waiting. It's taken me over 2 1/2 years to get it this far.
