Yesterday THGGM was sitting in the living room when he asked about the beautiful orchid on the mantle. He wondered if I was remembering to water it and I told him how I add two ice cubes to the planter every week on Friday.
Then he asked whether or not I knew if the flowers were real. Because it looks just as beautiful now as it did three months ago.
No sooner were those words out of his mouth when one of the flowers fell off.
Seriously.
