This picture is not from today, but I did see this today!
My batteries are still dead.
Anyway..,
Daughter picked me up after lunch and I spent the day with her and Jonge, Famke, and Kado at John Ball Zoo.
Neither of us brought our cameras. There were soooo many perfect photo opts, as we were pretty much the only people there. I think we all enjoyed it more without the cameras though. We just walked from one thing to the next in no hurry at all.
We managed to be in the right place at the right time for the feeding of the penguins AND the pelicans. The wolverine was running around wildly and the river otter put on a stunning underwater acrobatics show just for us.
Although we did find ourselves in an awkward situation at the chimp exhibit. They were exhibiting waaay more than I thought prudent - unless they are hoping for a reality show, then I would guess their behavior would be considered spot on for that.
As we were leaving, the kids were climbing around the statue of John Ball. Since it seems to be there for the purpose of picture taking, Jonge and Famke posed, Kado wandered off and Daughter used her imaginary camera to take their picture.
It was precious. I'll remember that, even without photo evidence.
Truly, it was THE BEST zoo day, EVER.

I agree, sometimes it much more fun not to have your camera with you.
Sounds like a great day!
